FAQ

An e-Visa is an official document that permits entry into and travel within Türkiye.

To obtain an e-Visa, applicants must complete the form by entering the required information and making a payment using a credit or debit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover). Once the application is successfully completed and processed, your e-Visa will be sent to you via email.

Passport control officers at ports of entry can verify your e-Visa based on your passport number. However, it is recommended to keep a copy of your e-Visa with you, either as a digital copy (on a tablet, smartphone, etc.) or as a printed hard copy, in case of any system issues.

Please note that, as with other visas, Indian officials at the ports of entry have the right to deny entry to Türkiye to an e-Visa holder without providing an explanation.

To apply for an e-Visa for Türkiye, you need the following:

1. Passport or Travel Document: According to article 7.1b of “the Law on Foreigners and International Protection” no. 6458, you must carry a passport or a travel document as a substitute for a passport. This document must have an expiration date at least 60 days beyond the “duration of stay” of your e-Visa.

2. Additional Requirements: Depending on your nationality, there may be additional requirements. You will be informed of these specific requirements after selecting your country of travel document and travel dates during the application process.

Ensure your travel document meets the validity requirement and check for any additional conditions based on your nationality to complete your e-Visa application successfully.

The e-Visa costs 85 euros or its equivalent in the following supported currencies:
GBP, USD, ZAR, TRY, SAR, SGD, SEK, RON, PLN, NZD, NOK, MXN, JPY, ILS, HUF, HKD, DKK, CZK, CHF, CAD, AUD, BGN, QAR, THB, and AED.
The payment currency will be automatically selected based on your location and presented to you at checkout.

An e-Visa offers several advantages:

1. Convenience: It can be obtained easily from anywhere with an internet connection.

2. Time-saving: It eliminates the need to visit Indian embassies or consulates, or wait at ports of entry for visa applications.

3. Efficiency: The online application process is quick and straightforward, making travel planning smoother.

Overall, an e-Visa streamlines the process of obtaining permission to enter Türkiye, making it more accessible and efficient for eligible travelers.
